I have a GPS Bee Kit mounted on a Xbee explorer dongle connected to one of my laptop’s USB ports. I’m using a python ROS node to read data from the GPS. When I try to get GPS data, sometimes it works just fine, but after some minutes the GPS doesn’t send any data. I have had to wait up to 1 hour to get data again. Does it mean that the GPS isn’t connected to any satellite? I have done some tests with a clear sky, is it possible to be not connected even with clear blue sky above the GPS.
I have also noticed that sometimes the GPS error is about 40 meters.
Have you seen this behavior before?
