To avoid DSO Quad HWv2.6 system breakdown ,please update the firmware :
app 2.32
sys 1.34
FPGA:2.22
download here:http://www.seeedstudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1929
Ok, that sounds serious? It would be nice to know what the changes are.
Does it matter in which order I copy the files to the USB disk drive?
I received my Quad yesterday and I have only powered it up and realized I have to read the manual to understand how to operate it.
Just notice when upgrade the FPGA logic or logo, you should first copy the .ADR file and then the 2M USB disk will reset. then copy the .bin file.
thanks.
Ok, so just to be very clear, is this how I should do it:
- Download SYS1.34 AND APP2.32.zip
- Get into upgrade by pressing button on startup
- Copy cfg_fpga.adr
- Copy logo_00b.adr
- Copy V222FPGA.bin
- Copy LOGO_001.bin
- Copy SYS_B134.hex
- Copy APP_B232.hex
I just dont want to brick the DSO, so please confirm that this is how it should be done. Usually I use Linux but I will do it from Windows XP as I read that there are problems with non-MS OS:es.

Can we make the previous post a sticky, or at least delete the one prior to that with the erroneous instructions?
Thanks,
Leigh.
The update process is clearly explained in the user manual.
You download the .adr file and after the associated binary (FPGA or logo)
