Hi there, I’m a newbie who’s just finished my first board in Eagle. I have a minor issue because the outline of my battery holder exceeds the PCB and is very close to the edge (pic attached). Can anyone tell me how to fix it? Does it matter if I leave it? Thanks for taking the time!
When the design is processed at the board house the silkscreen is clipped when created. This means any area where the markings are outside of the board outline or areas where the markings cross a solder pad the lines are omitted.
If the location of the battery holder does not create a problem when assembled and used in your application then there is no problem if it exceeds thboard outlinene.
