So i Also just recieved my ODYSSEY - X86J4105864 board today.
Just to let everyone know, it appears they went for saving 5 USD buy using a cheap HDMI 1.4 connector on the board and so You cannot run at 4k (3840 x 2160) at 60 hz
The chipset supports 4k @ 60 hz
Does not help if you do custom Intel resolution either.
Furthermore connecting it to a 4k Monitor it does not even show anything while booting (need to connect to Full HD monitor until desktop then switch to 4K monitor to even get picture at 1920 x 1080)
This is very very disappointing,
Also tried expensive USB C/Thunderbolt hub from Dell (It supports 4k 60 HZ on other computers)to test if its only USB -C that has 4k at 60 hz but no max again is 30 HZ when at 4K resolution.
My Odroid H2 (same Intel CPU and Chipset) runs at 4k @ 60 hz over its HDMI port and so does Odroid N2 (arm based board)
Some review websites even claim it does support 4k at 60 hz (although they talk about DisplayPort which the board does not even have)
Cant believe they ruined this otherwise perfect board ( dual intel NIC instead of Realtek crap) with a cheap HDMI 1.4 connector
