Odyssey X86J4105 - Inserting SD Card

Hi,
I am having difficulty inserting an SD card into the Odyssey and having it recognised.

I am inserting the SD card oriented the same way as the diagrams in the documentation suggest, but when I attempt to insert the card it feels very unsatisfying, it doesn’t feel like a very solid fit at all.

Indeed it’s very easy to insert the card at an angle. I have never yet had an inserted SD card recognised by Linux.

I am wondering if I am somehow doing something wrong?

Can someone who has done this successfully offer me any advice on how to correctly orient the SD card and if there are any tricks to getting it inserted properly? How deeply into the socket should it sit?

thanks!

Hi,

See below, it works so for me.

Is your operating system able to read the sd card file format? I mean is your sd card exfat formated? Linux can read this format, install the right package.

I doubt that a sd card is running in a sim card slot

Thank you that is very helpful!

It appears I’ve been trying to insert it into the SIM card slot! Your photo makes it very obvious.

Nice, you’re welcome.
