Odyssey X86J4105 antenna question

just received my new odyssey X86J4105 board and it seems nice, however i for the life of me cannot get the U.fl connectors for the wifi attached to the board.

i’m used to using ufls in my video transmitters and also other RF devices so am well versed in their intricacies, but it seems that the ones in my package are the wrong size.

Any help appreciated

ok confirmed, its an issue with the antennas itself, i just tried another pair of antennas from a different board that are both 2.4Ghz and they went straight on fine

I confirm that the antennas are a little tricky to install…

Here it’s how I successful installed it, after many attempt:

  • Carefully align the antenna connector to PCB connector.
  • Use something different from your finger (I used a plastic USB key cap) to push the connector down, you need to apply a discrete force.

Note: It’s not an UFL connector, it’s an MHF4, smaller (0,81mm vs 2mm) but better than UFL.
