Can I use sata hdd and m.2 sata ssd at the same time?
I want to have 2 sata hdds (using m.2 sata riser board and the sata connector) and nvme ssd. But i’m not sure if the sata port is shared with the m.2 sata.
nvme ssd uses the pcie channel which also needs to be used for the sata converter. So you can use 2 HDD with 1 SSD that uses the m.2 sata(NOT the m.2 PCIE so not nvme ssd)
that doesn’t completely answer my question. What if I had one M.2 SATA ssd (NOT NVME) and one HDD. Can they fit together without sata converter?
Yes that would fit just fine
