Hello All,
Just recently got the odyssey board and case and am loving it! I was following instructions on https://wiki.seeedstudio.com/ODYSSEY-X86J4105-Installing-openwrt/
However, after reboot or shut down and unplugging the installation USB the computer says there’s no boot device. It’s as if it didn’t really install.
Installing Ubuntu was a piece of cake but I’m clueless on how to install OpenWrt after following the guide. How do I actually install OpenWrt so that it stays on my SSD?
Hi @StarWhiz
For convenience, you can install openwrt onto USB drive and take advantage of SSD for other usage (as openwrt is only a very small OS). But if you prefer to install onto the SSD, there should be a advanced install during the steps and choose you specified hard drive to install
@ansonhe97
I see. I still don’t know how to install to SSD/=eMMC yet but I ran it from USB. And let me say I’m soo IMPRESSED! This board can handle gigabit connections with SQM turned on. There’s no consumer router that I know of that can perform this well!
I made a short write up on my website www.stoplagging.com mentioning the Seeed Odyssey under method #6. (Website doesn’t look very aesthetically pleasing at the moment but that will change in a few weeks!)
Thank you so much for making this product!
Would appreciate links on how to install on the SSD though. Once i boot from USB there doesn’t seem to be an option to install to disk?
