I believe the default bios settings configure the M.2 PCIe x4 as a single slot. But is there possibility to change or re-flash the bios to get 4pcs PCIe x1 from the M.2 slot?
I am planning to put four mining GPU:s to the M.2 PCIe slot and easiest way would be:
- connect directly 4pcs PCIe x1 to CPU
- make custom M.2 card with four PCIe connectors (we use USB 3.0 connectors on mining systems)
- bring external power supplies to the M.2 card
To achieve the 4pcs PCIe x1 lanes, either I need to use some kind crappy splitter IC, or the BIOS must configure the lanes correctly. Latter option is way batter.
