šŸ¤© Nordic Goes ALL-IN on Cellular IOT **Nrf9151** Sip , GO SEEED! "IOT Xiao"

The future is HERE, Do not miss the Boat :money_mouth_face:Seeed Studioā€™s Cellular Xiao NOW! :stuck_out_tongue:

In this video, we take a sneak peek at the nRF9151 SiP, a compact and pre-certified System-in-Package that streamlines low-power cellular IoT and DECT NR+ designs. It is a highly integrated solution, fully designed by Nordic, that accelerates Cellular IoT development and scales global deployments.

The nRF9151 SiP enables the next generation of IoT products with:

  • A 20% smaller footprint than nRF9161 for more compact designs
  • Support for Class 5 20dBm and Class 3 23dBm output power, optimizing battery-powered products by reducing peak currents
  • Software and tools compatibility with nRF9131 and nRF9161, and full support by nRF Cloud Services
  • A design and manufacturing process aligned with Nordicā€™s supply chain diversification program

Supported wireless protocols:

  • Cellular IoT (LTE-M/NB-IoT)
  • DECT NR+

Applications:

  • Asset tracking
  • Industry 4.0
  • Smart Metering
  • Smart City

Cease the real opportunity, Low hanging fruitā€¦ Nordic has the silicon so Get busy over there and give the Vision stuff a break.

Reduced footprint and new power class support

The nRF9151 offers a compact, pre-certified, and highly integrated device, containing a System-on-Chip (SoC), power management, and RF front-end, all by Nordic Semiconductor. Compared with its nRF91 Series predecessors, it is designed for increased supply chain resilience, and boasts a significant footprint reduction of 20% :exploding_head:, allowing more compact products without performance compromises, a particular benefit for wearable devices, smart sensors, and other space-constrained IoT applications.

Seeed has GOT to put one of these togetherā€¦LORA is great but not prolific or adopted enough for Extended reach.
Not even ā€œAteMyFruitā€ hasnā€™t got anything like it. oR tHe DROBOT guyā€¦ :stuck_out_tongue:

Dev Kit Available too.

True to form , NORDIC isnā€™t resting on their bottoms , Delivering on the Cellular OIT promise.
LTE-M and NB-IoT they HAVE it NOW, NO pipe dreams and no nonsense, Lowest power draw, multi-stack -mode radios. SEEED studio NeeeDs  :pinched_fingers: to freshen The Xiao Nrf52 series or lose out to the competitors.

A Device or tracker that switches from BLE to Cellular as needed. Talk about Pervasive. WOW :star_struck:

One CEO of another company, Agreesā€¦
ā€œWe selected Nordicā€™s nRF9160 SiP for our solution due to its compact form factor and excellent power consumption,ā€ says Blackshire. ā€œThe nRF9160 is currently the lightest and smallest LTE-M modem on the market and does not require an extra host microcontroller. This allowed us to make a very compact PCB which ultimately contributed to developing such a lightweight device. The low power consumption allowed us to use smaller batteries and solar panels.ā€
