Hi,
Apologise if this is not the right forum, i’d like to have seeed make a pcb, but i’m very new to eagle and have never made a pcb so was wondering if anyone could see any glaring errors
in eagle, I’m using Seeeds design rules
I get stop mask errors, but if i turn off the layers i don’t want, i don’t’ get any errors; is that ok?
My design will fit on a 10x10cm board, but i think my board size in eagle is bigger, i don’t know how to correct that, does it matter?
What board thickness should i use? i intend to screw it to something, it’s a clock, so it should get moved about too much
I’m unable to ascertain if my design exceeds the tolerances that seeed can produce, i get no design errors (except as above). But seed state that the min solder mask clearance width is 0.13 and i think my design has tracks that are very close to a couple of pads (but i don’t know how to measure the gap in mm)
Seed says i should provide
Top Layer: pcbname.GTL
Bottom Layer: pcbname.GBL
Solder Mask Top: pcbname.GTS
Solder Mask Bottom: pcbname.GBS
Silk Top: pcbname.GTO
Silk Bottom: pcbname.GBO
Drill Drawing: pcbname.TXT
but i’m only making a single sided board and i don’t have a silk bottom (i think).
I’m using the Seeed_Gerber_Generater_v0r95_DrillAlign.cam file to make the cam files, i’m assuming this is correct but i don’t know what i’m doing.
I’ve uploaded the files i would submit here, a few others on the forum suggest i view the gerber files, but i don’t know what i’m looking for or at.
