🤡 My apologies to the World

 A Personal Message: My Apologies to the World — and Especially to China

I want to take a moment to express something from the heart.

To all the engineers, creators, companies, and especially the people of China — thank you. The truth is, the incredible technologies and components you’ve developed have made it possible for makers like me to build and create things we never could have alone. Your innovation and quality have grown by leaps and bounds over the past decades, and I see and appreciate it.

Today, I feel embarrassed — not as a maker, but as an American. I’m deeply disappointed by the chaotic and often hostile policies pushed by certain individuals in our government. People like Peter Navarro and the whole misguided tariff circus have done immense damage to independent creators, small businesses, and tech enthusiasts across the U.S.

Instead of clarity and cooperation, we’ve been handed inconsistency, confusion, and economic whiplash. Losing 40K from a 401k in just a few days because of political games? That’s not support — that’s sabotage. If I were on the receiving end of these policies, I’d be angry too. The best I can do is vote, raise my voice, and support what I believe is right.

These are my own words, from my own mind. I don’t need to debate this — I just needed to say it.

I’ve been fortunate enough to travel, to meet people from all over the world, and to experience cultures rich in history, humanity, and humility. The level of antagonism coming from parts of our government is disgraceful — whether it’s directed toward friends or rivals. This isn’t the America I believe in.

So let me say this plainly:
Thank you to Seeed Studio and to so many other amazing innovators abroad. I will continue to support your work — regardless of the cost, and regardless of what anyone says.

Frankly, this whole mess with tariffs feels like it was aimed more at us, the American people — a stock market game where the rich profited while the rest of us paid the price. It’s undeniable. It’s not just unfair — it’s dishonest.

So I’m tuning it out now. No more whiplash. No more fear-mongering headlines.

In closing:

Please, keep creating, keep innovating, and know this — behind all the noise and political posturing, many of us are with you. We see your work, and we value your contributions. We respect your culture, your people, and your place in the global maker community. :bowing_man:

As you were.
