mtXControl - a Rainbowduino Editor By Tobi

hi,

first of all sorry for my bad english im from germany.
I also got a Rainbowduino (328 atmel), the problem is that i can´t connect to the Rainbowduino via mxControl…“No output device found…”
I just loaded successfully the Firmware.pde into the rainbowduino. Now all led are blink red.(normal?)
So the connection between my Windows 7 64bit PC and The Rainbowduino works and is still connected ( Via USB to FTDI Breakout board) when i try to draw something in mxControl.
Whats the next step? Whre is my fault? (exept for my english )
Can anybody probably post a Video/PDF/PICTURE tutorial ? it would help the German community a lot!

Thanks!

Step H seems a bit ambiguous. Do I run the actual mtXcontrol program from linux command line? Or, am I supposed to load the mtXcontrol.pde sketch from the Processing IDE?

I’ve tried running the mtXcontrol.pde sketch from the Processing, but there’s errors because none of the classes are defined (eg. Matrix).
I’ve also tried running the mtXcontrol, but it doesn’t detect anything.

Also, when I upload the firmware, all LEDs go red. Should this be what happens?

My setup info:

  1. I’m on linux, using an arduino UNO and using a first generation rainbowduino.
  2. I’m using the 8X8 LED attatchment: GTM2088 ARGB-24 L12 LK 079

i have tried getting this to upload and work on my rainbowduino, and have been trying for months, and all it does is spew back at me Rainbowduino.cpp:0: error: expected constructor, destructor or type conversion before ‘/’ token

i am using a rainbowduino v2.0 and the latest version of Mtx control
