mmWave - Two sensor modules on the same board

I’m using the mmWave Human Detection Sensor Kit in a project for monitoring of elderly people. It works really well with the MR60BHA1 60GHz module, however, I would like to add fall detection as well, for which I could use the MR60FDA1 module.

Would it be feasible to combine these two modules on one board? The distance between the two modules would probably be less than 1 cm, and I fear this might influence the performance or accuracy of the mmWave radars on the two modules.

Yes, you cannot combine two radars together as it will cause mutual interference between them.

Yes, 2 Radars would trigger interference, constructive as well as destructive, depending how the waves are hit each other.

There is a 24Ghz Module with Fall Detection (MR24FDB1). If any, i would try it with that, because the difference in frequency, amplitude and wavelength should be big enough (24ghz has a wavelength of 12.5mm, 60ghz of 5mm)

waves with that different wavelength would not interfer, except with electromagnetic flux while going through a medium. since your goal is Fall-Detection, this will be no problem for you

TLDR: The 24ghz Fall-Detection Sensor MR24FDB1 should work for your purpose
