G’day i want a recomendation regaridng mmwave 60 GHz radar sensor
i want to use the sensor for counting people located in a room.
can i use seedstudio mmwave 60 ghz for this use case ?
we have healthrate sensors but not pretty sure if this works to count the number of people.
Please give me the better sensor to accomplish this. I want to use 60 Ghz due to the precission
Hi there,
No,AFIAK it is too specific for sensing breathing and falls, the best way is to count them IS as they enter. is that possible? Mark a spot on the floor and count any egress or digress past it, would be my suggestion or use a Grove Vision AI and some people vs animal inferencing.
Post more of what it is you need to do?

Hi there,
Yes that would make sense, LOL
What have you tried ? I saw a BLE beacon demo , that each person had a tag and the TOF, & AOA parameters are used to track individuals to the chairs in the room (12x20) it’s very interesting method and very accurate but again , each person that enters has a beacon on them.

Thanks let me see more info regarding this product AFAIK works like a lorawan tracker.
The user must have a sensor tag to find wher eis locasted. I need to read more about the Sensecapwatcher, for people tracking one of my objetives is that people does not needs to waar any kind of tags.
["Yes, a 60 GHz mmWave radar sensor can be used for counting people in a room, as it offers high precision in detecting and tracking movement. However, the SeeedStudio 60 GHz mmWave sensor is more commonly used for presence detection and tracking, not specifically for counting people.
For accurate people counting, you might want to consider sensors like the Texas Instruments IWR6843 or the Infineon BGT60TR13C, which are designed for more complex tasks like people counting and occupancy monitoring with high accuracy. These sensors can differentiate between multiple individuals, making them a better fit for your use case."
