measure velocity with grove tf mini lidar

Dear support team,

have you heard of any project using the LiDar for velocity measurement?
In principle it should work by measuring the distance with the sensor and afterwards calculate the time difference between the end and the starting point, right? If the sensor works with 100 Hz, I should receive 100 values per second, and be able to calculate the time difference based on the number of measurement points.
Have you heard of any other velocity measurement cases?
I think the accuracy probably depends on the reflectivity of the measured object.
Is there any way to measure the phase separation, too?
Thanks for your input and best regards
Daniel

Hi

Daniel,

I talked with designer that here is the feedback from designer with concerns about the time accuracy.

It is theoretically achievable, but this time accuracy is not as high. The general lab demo can be used, and the actual application may be risky.

Thanks
