M.2 SSD drive not recognized

I am trying to install a Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD drive in the PCI slot. The form factor is 2280 and fits in the slot without any problems. The Odyssey X86J4105 came with Windows preinstalled and activated. The disk is not being recognized in the BIOS or in Windows. Do I need to reinstall Windows? Do I need to update the system BIOS?

I’m pretty new to this but I thought the drive would be automatically recognized after installing.

I solved the problem. The drive was not initialized so I did that in disk management. Then I assigned a drive letter using the simple volume creation wizard.

I’m having the same problem could you clarify how you initialized the drive?
Thanks
NM I figured it out, thanks anyway. Gotta love Google!

Format the disk in any OS.
