I’m running successfully an old pcie multiport 1P4S card under linuxcnc mint based version via m2 key M adapter.
I’m interested to use the gpio header but i can not find how the switching of the pins between intel and arm is realy made. Also i find nowhere how the communication between these two processors is made.
P. S. I’m not interested to be hinted towards probably bulky sw interfaces. They are nice, but not enough to judge the effort for fast interfacing via special drivers etc.

Hi @MikeEitel
Sorry to say that we currently have no plans to support GPIO control on Windows, we still recommend to use GPIO on Linux.
Thanks
Thx ansonhe97
I was not asking the windows based control. Also this would be good in our datacenter apps to have some digital signals.
I asked how the hw solution is made that switches between the two processors. And how the two processors are connected.
Mike
They are communicated over Serial (Intel <->SAMD21).
Sorry, but my impression is that you want to hide that information.
Just to give you my impression:
That is neither the way to build a strong community and profit from opensource advantage nor generating selfinducted sales succes.
Pity as i like the hw and saw multiple usecases but support is always a keyfactor for decissions.
