LCD RGB not displaying

I am trying to get the LCD RGB grove display working. The display is plugged into the 12C port furthest from the power input. I uploaded the HelloWorld example, and the backlight turns red, but there is no text on the screen.



Am I doing something wrong or is the LCD dead ?

I suspect the voltage issue, please make sure you use 5v, NOT 3.3v. thanks.

Sorry, I don’t understand this reply. Are you saying that the grove display cannot be used with the grove shield ?

there is a switch on the base shield, please keep it to 5V side, NOT 3.3v side. thanks.

Hi @seeed_techsupport_te,

I experience the same issue. But since I’m using the Shield for NodeMCU, I cannot find the switch for 5V. Is this always set to 5V or how can I trigger this?
