Lattice announce EOL of iCE65L04 (FPGA in the DSO)

Just got notification in email that Lattice - who purchased SiliconBlue, the makers of the FPGA used in the DSO - announcing the discontinuation of the FPGA with Last Orders To Buy being placed October 9th 2012 for final deliveries in April 2013 (12mths from the Notice).

Does this mean the DSO is going to be updated to a new FPGA - or is this the death knell for what potentially was going to be a great product???

Can we have some formal advice from Seeed please ?

Heres a link to the EOL Notice: latticesemi.com/documents/doc45605x86.pdf

Dear customer,

Thanks for your inform.
If there is any change with DSO, we would post it out.

Best regards,
