Hello,



I have some questions regarding the Grove I2C ADC converter module.


  • Is it possible to operate the module on 3.3V supply voltage or do I need 5V?
  • Which voltage area can the ADC module cover? 0V to V_sup? 0V to 5V? 0V to 9V?

Dear Customer

The working voltage of I2C ADC module can only be 5 volts, and the ADC conversion voltage range is 0-6 volts.

Hello,



I am sorry but I need to inquire again. I managed to get the module working with 3.3V supply and could communicate with it via i2c.



Does operating it on 3.3V instead of 5V as proposed alter the max ADC conversion voltage? How is this voltage calculated?



And another question, I do not have access to eagle. Would you be so kind and supply me with a PDF schematic of the module? I am sure this would answer a lot of my questions.

Hello jianghong,



First, I mentioned before, I do not have access to EAGLE (due to company policy) and therefore cannot open the files you gave me. Would you be so kind and convert the schematic and the board file to PDF?



Secondly, I am aware of the ADC121C021 datasheet, but it does not help me since there are additional electronics on your PCB that seem to alter the signal voltage before it gets converted by the ADC121C021.
