I have this sensor http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/Grove_-_HCHO_Sensor and I am able to measure with it, however, I don’t know how to interpret the data. First of all, I don’t know what value should I set on R1 resistor. It is adjustable from 0 Ohm to 10 kOhm. What should I set?
The sensor detects formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, alcohol and other VOCs. How do I know what VOC I am measuring? Does it depend in some way on R1 setting, or is it measuring everything at once?
When I look at the sensitivity characteristic: http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/File:Sensitivity_Characteristic.png how do I know which of the characteristic line to use from the set of benzene, toluene, formaldehyde, alcohol and hydrogen?
Thanks!
Hi,
Did you ever find out how to interpret the data from this sensor? I’ve been looking for a good setup procedure (the data sheets are quite confusing for someone who is new to this) and haven’t been able to find one anywhere. Did you eventually find a way to select or filter which pollutant the sensor is reading? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
I found this sample code, may be this is correct, I dun know.

I hope the Seeedstudio engineer can verify this code, or provide some easy understanding code for us here. The HCHO sensor wiki is really confusing.
Thx
