Guidance for a LoRA mobile NFC reader

For now, I scoped to not really high precision – not to know which tree has been worked on, but on the area the worker has spent time, based on location and continuously intersected gps position to a given square space to know how much time he has stayed there to kind of derive that some work has been done in that place.

This is my first approach to get something working, then I can iterate to get a better solution, maybe with NFC cards, maybe QRs or barcode, or maybe with what you mentioned for GPS precision hardware.

I’m really thankful for the knowledge you and @PJ_Glasso had shared with me, I kind of felt at lost when I published this topic, now I kind of feel like this can be achievable

the tracker can totally track the movement of your employees… how do you plan to automate the monotoring? are you going to manually review their daily track? and update the database manually… or are you thinking the power that be will give you a report to say what trees the employ visited each day… the “AI” would figgure which trees the employee visited based on location data… PJ? is this a watcher project?

Not really thinking on a tree level with the location only approach, just percentage of a given land that has tracker info based on time, so if a worker only has a single position in a given area it means he walked past it only, but if there are two or more consecutive positions in the tile or box it means he stayed there to do something. I’m currently playing with that approach and showing in a OpenLayers map.
