grove sound sensor vs loudness sensor

What is the difference between the grove sound sensor and the grove loudness sensor and when would I want to use either?

I can see there are different parts, but they sound like basically the same thing.

Hello,

The sensitivity,signal to noise ratio and frequency are different in both the sensors.

The loudness sensor has more sensitivity compared to the sound sensor.

The basic concept is the same so you can choose based on your sensitivity requirements.

Hello,

To add to the above points ( differences), the amplifier used in Loudness sensor is LM2904. More signal filtering is implemented in Loudness sensor.
