For a project I want to use the sensor of an optical mouse to track the position and also have access to the frames of the sensor.
There is a mouse encoder wheel in the Seed Grove program, but not one for the sensor.
Breakout boards for a sensor + lens assemblies were available from other companies, but not anymore (e.g. Sparkfun).
The regular optical mouse PCB’s are usually too big for a project.
Would it be an idea to make a Grove module with an optical mouse sensor + optics and control software tto be used as a simple tracking tool for robotics etc.? It would be a great addition to the program!
