Grove IR distance interrupter always on

Hi all,

I’m experimenting with a project to sense objects around 10cm away in line-of-sight. At the moment, I’m connecting two IR distance interrupters to a Raspberry Pi 3B+ using GrovePi+ (firmware updated). The interrupters worked perfectly for around 10 minutes without any adjustments, but are now always detecting an IR reflection (i.e., red LED is on). Adjusting the potentiometer does not help, nor does a reboot. My setup is in a room with some ambient light, but reducing the light has not helped either.

I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions!

It should be that the potentiometer is not adjusted correctly and you need to adjust it slowly until it reaches the correct position.

Thanks for your reply and suggestions! After testing, I found that the issue was due to a (possibly) faulty port on the GrovePi+ (D4). The interrupter worked perfectly when connected to ports D2 or D3.
