Ten years ago, the very first batch of Grove products was launched on seeedstudio.com, as an open-source, modular toolset designed to optimize for simplicity and rapid prototyping. Since then, hundreds of Grove modules with a full spectrum of functionalities have been introduced, and a wide range of great projects and applications have been created with them all over the world.
In this Grove 10 Years documentary, we have invited many of our friends and users to share their “Grove Moments” with us. They are Daisuke Nakahara from Microsoft, Sandro Benigno from UFMG Computing Arts Lab, Davide Gomba from Officine Innesto, Dan Hugo from ReallyCool Technologies, Md. Khairul Alam from the University of Asia Pacific, and Lawrence Perales, a system engineer from Peru.
We are very thankful for the support we’ve received along the journey, which has granted us to have Grove keep innovating and developing. As of 2020, Grove has successfully sold 3.7 Million pieces around the world! We can never be bringing this volume of service, support, and having an impact on the global developer and maker community without your collaboration!
2020 has been a challenging year forcing most people to adapt to new realities. What makes us keep optimistic is seeing that people who are working in the field are capable not only to adapt but to thrive on change. Just look how much progress we had in a year on tools that enable remote collaboration, it is truly remarkable!
