GPRS Shield not powering up

Hi Everyone,

I finished a project a couple days ago using the Seeed GPRS Shield. Everything was working great so I installed it in a vehicle as a GPS tracker. Today it stopped working so I took it out of the vehicle and found that the Status and NetLight lights weren’t on. I tried power cycling the unit and still no luck. Won’t even turn on when I hold down the hardware power button. The small green PWR light on the other side of the shield is on.

Any ideas?

Hi there,
This GPRS Shiled need large current to power it. If it can be power when compatible with USB power arduino?

Hi, thanks for your reply. The GPRS shield is being powered by a 9V/2A power supply plugged into the barrel connector on the Arduino.
