I want to get a lat/long and time from the GSM network. I found a separate document that lists the AT commands (Google “SIM900 location”) that makes me think it is possible, but I’m not sure this shield supports it or if it is going to require a firmware upgrade. Either way I haven’t had any luck getting it to work. Anyone looked into GSM location?
we have not used that function , we could have a try. It is feasible.
It looks like using a GPS module may be an option for getting your exact location using a GPRS shield. See this video.
