GPRS Shield can't make calls

Hi,

i have a problem with the shield which confuses me.

When i try to send an sms it works fine, but when i try to make a call the response on the terminal
is “NO CARRIER”
I use the command ATDxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (x is my number).

Do i use it wrong?

Add a semicolon at the end of the phone number to make a voice call instead of a data call.
Example: ATDxxxxxxxxxxxxxx;
