I just got an X86J4125 today and both in the original windows install and in Ubuntu, the fan stays on a constant 5500rpm while the unit is on. Even from a cold boot where everything is physically cold. I updated the BIOS and EC to the latest versions, and it makes no difference. Everything else seems to be working fine.
Even when I set the fan mode in the BIOS to Disabled, the fan still runs full speed.
Anyone have any suggestions?
