I have mounted one RFbee inside a plastic box. Now I want to attach an external antenna on the outside of the box and wire it to the RFBee. How is that done? Ideas for suitable antenna? Do I need to solder a “socket” to the RFbee? Any solution is welcome.
I can not just “pull the onboard antenna through a hole”. I need the product to be “rainproof”.
Keep the antenna wire as short as possible.Being a sub GigaHertz like 850-900MHZ it might already work better than other ISM band. I guess that external antenna like the one present in RFBee might not extend the range. Sealing the an antenna inside the plastic enclosure should not affect the performance.
Thanks.
P.S: I’m not a expert in RF and please check if the above solution works.
