I purchased a GPRS shield 1.4 for my arduino UNO R3. After much hassle I got the darn thing to boot up once. Since the first time of use I can no longer access my COM port that the arduino occupies. When the GPRS shield is connected to the arduino and is powered on, the COM port the arduino is on becomes unusable. It disappears and when I try to access it from sscom32 serial monitor it tells me that the serial port is busy. I have uninstalled my arduino and reset all my COM ports. Anytme this shiedl is on it kills my com. HELP!
hi~ yes, when your gprs shield is connect to arduino by hardware serial, you can’t connect your arduino to a PC, or there will be conflict .
