Can this motor sheild output a stalled detection?

On this radio shack seeed shield SLD80256P

I am using this to drive a car lock motor for a project, this motor reaches the end and cannot proceed. I was wanting to add current sensing to it to detect the current change when it is stalled and use this as a method to determine if the device has reached it’s limit.

Any suggestions? If it doesn’t have built in sense resistors, I was thinking to add a sense resistor in the path to GND off of the board, then monitor that resistor with a current sensing amp, output the sense voltage to a comparator and set a threshold trip level with a trim pot, then my processor ( not arduino ) can detect the stall.

Thanks,
