CAN Bus Shield V2 Deutsch connector and DB9 question

Hello,

I would like to connect a Deutsch Connector to the CAN H/L wire terminal on the CAN Bus Shield V2. Something like this: https://www.te.com/usa-en/product-DT13-2P.html

Is it feasible? If not, any ideas on how to have a securely fastened wiring to the CAN H/L terminal?

Another question: Is the DB9 connector pins connected to the CAN H/L internally? From the schematic it was not clear to me.
