Using ADC’s dual fast interleaved mode it’s possible to achieve 2msps. Page 10 in the document.

I’m wondering is it’s possible to mod the firmware to get 2msps with the current hardware of Nano v2?

Yes, that’s quite possible. You could hack Vbat to incoming signal, and set ADC in dual Interleaved mode.
