WM8960 codec has an integrated pop and click suppression and a programmable ALC (see WM8960 Stereo CODEC - Cirrus Logic | Mouser). Is it possible to turn the things off to get the raw audio signal?
I use a Raspberry Pi 3, with Seeed Studio 2 Mic Hat.
