I used the v3 wiki but can’t get the v3 shield to work with either Arduino uno or Mega 2560.I did change the pin select to 53 for the mega. The first line on the failed upload msg reads`. Sd card does not name a type.

I can’t understand what v3 shield you using? Arduino Uno Rev3 ?
And what board did you upload with? Code?What libraries you using? Arduino IDE version? Where is the SD card?
Can you give us more detail? It could be helpful.
