Analog MEMs microphone

Wondering if someone could clarify the capability of the Grove Analog Microphone for audio recording:

https://wiki.seeedstudio.com/Grove-Analog-Microphone/

On the wiki page above it states

“If you are going to get a fancy microphone, here is the choice.”

Indeed, the SiSonic SPU0414HR5H-SB data sheets confirms that it is a MEMs of good spec.

However, on the wiki page it also warns:

“This sound sensor is used to detect whether there’s sound surround or not, please don’t use the module to collect sound signal. For example, you can use it to make a sound control lamp, but not as a recording device.”

Has anyone used one of these sensors for audio recording that could comment?

Sorry, the hardware design of this module does not support audio recording.

Thanks Baozhu.

Presumably because it doesn’t have an ADC? Could it be used in combination with this? https://wiki.seeedstudio.com/Grove-I2C_ADC/

Instead of using RPi, I want to connect the microphone board through Bluetooth interface to a Windows or Linux computer, preferably Windows? Do you have a solution for my requirement?
