6x10 RGB-Matrix for XIAO-What size Capacitor?

WOW I like the hymilaian Rock Salt one… lol
Ship in the bottle is cool too!

The Rock was my favorite to animate.
It’s equipped with rgbw lights.
I did a warp core animation in blue.
And I did an alien egg opening which made the body of the thing green and then the top “opened” White becoming progressively brighter.
And of course the standard rainbow and fire programs that everyone includes.

I made those before AI assistance became useful.
Now if I want a new animation I can just ask for it as a c routine and stick it in my code

Back to the Seeed 6x10 RGB Matrix for Xiao - Do you guys know which pins on the xiao are actually used when it is sandwiched with a Xiao? I wanted to have the matrix next to the xiao instead of sandwiched for a project and want to know which pins i actually need to wire since i assume it doesn’t use all of them.

5v-GND and IN (D0) i assume 3v3 not sure on that one

Hi there,

The connections on the Top edge are all you need (+)5V (-) GND and the “IN” for the serial data to address the Led’s (pixels) , (D0) can also be used as the input as well.

HTH
GL  PJ :v:

my question is if it gets power from 5v then it couldnt run on 3v3?

i cant say i ever tried it withoug bing connected to usb… i do know it can be a power hog

I have used it with LiPos and it works fine

ok that should mean you are using 3.3 power from the xiao

To use these on battery power you connect the 3.3 v output on the Xiao, to the 5 volt port on The Matrix board. Because there will be no 5 volt line when you’re on battery.
