5G card on the PCI-E and not USB 2.0

Hi, I have a 5G card from Quectel RM500Q-GL (the most popular one everyone is using ) in the Odyssey. I run ubuntu 20.10 with modem manager 1.14.2. and I see that it is by default connected on the data interface with USB 2.0

This will be limiting on the 5G network with wide 80-100 MHz channel that should hit close to 1Gbps
Does anyone knows how to set that card to USB 3 Superspeed or native PCI-E mode?
It looks it should be supported. Does Odyssey suports USB3 on that M.2 connector?

@Maciej_Eckstein Odyssey gen1 only\ has USB2.0 and sata3 on B key.

Is there an gen2 Odyssey and is it already released? if no when? will it have USB 3.0 on the B key?

Alternatively can the module be inserted into the top M keyed slot and used in the PCI-e x4 mode?
Anyone tried that?

Gen 2 will be soon, PCIE preset on the B key.

how soon? give some hint? as I will move to up-squared boards, if that is not like 2 weeks, I hit limits on the 5G cards and need USB3 connection on modem.

Is the “v2” Odyssey the gen 2 version? And does it really have PCIe on the M.2 B key? Because the data sheet for the v2 still says “M.2(Key B, 2242/2280): SATA III, USB2.0, UIM;” and doesn’t mention PCIe for the B key at all.

We don’t have any more PCIe available for B-key.
