2.8 inch TFT Touch Shield not displaying shapes using Arduino Mega 2560

Hello, I was trying to work through the examples provided with the library found at

The touch screen works fine. However, I can only turn the backlight on and off. I cannot display shapes. Could you help me?



I am using ICSP on my mega and have made the jumper connections.
