I would agree, it’s a nice display but the PCB is WACK, period.
Too big to use in small designs, not a good execution of a display, the power, the battery connection (prevents mounting on pcb) YUCK 
Time for a redesign or better design IMO 
I use it a lot, Code wise it’s pretty stout it’s a nice panel, I would check the parts catalog on Easy_EDA, they have access to all the seeed raw components,have several LIBRARIES for parts and you could try sending an email to the seeed fusion service folks , see what they can offer. they do custom designs also.
