I have tried to use the Hdmi to Vga Converter (SKU: 349059001) with the Raspberry Pi 2 and it doesn´t work. I´ve tried two different pieces of the same converter in two different Pi 2 and in two different VGA monitors without luck. The same Pi 2 with a HDMI to VGA converter from Delock works fine.
It seems that the default resolution of raspberry pi setting is incompatible with your monitor. Please try to edit the config.txt file on your SD card.
