Grove PIR sensor is too sensitive!

Grove is a modulated, ready-to-use tool set.
Much like Lego, it takes a building block approach to assembling electronics.

Grove PIR sensor is too sensitive!

Post by wouternet592 » Wed Jan 11, 2012 4:19 pm

Hey guys,

I've been fiddling around quite some time now with the Grove sensors, (I'm teaching children the awesome world of electronics)
but the grove sensor is just too darned sensitive! Even if I set a cardboard box right covering the entire Grove board, it still keeps going off. Turning the range down just doesn't work, I need the long range (3~5 yards).\
I don't understand a thing about the 'Time' settings. The H and L switch is also a big clue for me..
Does anybody know what the problem is?
thanks!
