I’m interested in using the Seeed Studio round display to make a smart watch. I noticed all of the pins from the chosen Xiao microcontroller will be plugged into the board. Given this, is it possible to use additional peripherals with this setup?
pretty much you have to use IIC to communicate… or the USB cord… or wireless… Bluetooth
i suppose it would be possable to make a sensor card the size of the sd card and use it to communicate on the spi bus
Thank you for your reply, understood on using USB, bluetooth, or the micoSD card slot for peripherals.
Does anyone have experience using some of the pins that are plugged into display for peripherals or is this not possible?
If there aren’t enough free pins, consider using multiplexers (e.g., the TCA9546 for I2C devices)
I have not tried, but you would probably solder a connector directly to your XIAO
or make a custom daughter board to sandwitch between the XIAO and the Round Display
let me know what you are trying to do and i will try to test it on my setup
Hi there,
More I/O it’s a matter of which Xiao also. I used the I/O and the B2B connector to Roll our own.
Of course you don’t need the socket… but works great with more I/O
Have a look Here
