those were before the actual test… I had too many going at the same time… i had one set for range test and the other listening… i wonder if the strong magnets had an effect, but the antenna would be farthest away… i thing the unit was too close to the ground and fouled the line of sight… but sticking up too high on the tracks would get attention… and one broke the magnetic field and fell over from antrack blowing by at 60 mph
the track is streight … but it goes up and down alot… i did recon on the elevations at the crossings… i planned to stick to the control boxes… but in the field it became obvious the boxes were too much to the side for long range line of sight
