@PJ_Glasso that’s a nice christmas wishlist!
For me the points highlighted as “Core Evolution with CM5” would already be a great way forward:
- CM5 for greater perfs
- Boot support for the NVMe bay
- 4K HDMI would be nice but not necessarily a must
For my use case some points would definitely bring great value:
- Boot from USB MSD for on-premise flashing (OTA, except rather Over-The-Usb)
- Integrate the wifi antenna at the back of the screen for great reception even without external cabling.
- Passive cooling makes a lot of sense in the context, even for the CM5
- Possibly a discreet black or dark gray finish option
We’re still talking industrial device here, so hot-swappable modules may not make much sense beyond the prototyping phase. I like the current extensibility of the DM.
The AI coprocessor could offer interesting opportunities, but I’m not sure we’d immediately make use of it.
It’s good to know Seeed is listening to the user feedback - but we already knew it from the user-driven Xiao roadmap!
