I misunderstood the other thread.
I tried the SPI.h change last night and the display is now scrolling about 25% faster, which is great.
It has lost communication with the CAN expansion board, but I suspect that’s a solvable problem, just haven’t had time to experiment with changing the SPI rate between operations yet.
