How does the name Seeed stand for Seeed Studio? Who came up with the name Seeed? What’s the story?
My theory is that seeed is a play on the IEEE standards and the word seed.
The idea being that seeed is the place where great ideas start to grow.
i think i asked this question before… i cannot remember exactly the answer… but it definatly based on the english word seed for planting and growth… i think the extra e is for electronics and is added to get brand name recognition…

Well. And how do you decipher “grove”? A grove is many trees? But why is the grove logo drawn as one tree (a drawing on printed circuit boards)?
i think the idea is many into one… many units can fit into one connector
that’s a forest shown from above, but drawn as pcb traces.
grove sticks with the biological vibe of seeed, while at the same time giving the idea that it’s meant for outdoors.
Want to improve the world? build a solar farm, and monitor and manage it with a lot cost implementation built around Seeed’s products, they make everything needed to talk to anything existing in that realm.
